Mbappe says mental shift helped change his Madrid ‘situation’.

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe says mental issues have kept him from performing at his best early in the season.

The 26-year-old France captain joined Real Madrid on a free transfer in June after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

However, he struggled in the first few months, scoring ทางเข้า UFABET สำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ สมัครวันนี้ รับโบนัสฟรี just three goals in 11 appearances at one point.

The stats also include missed penalties against Liverpool in the Champions League and Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, both of which Madrid lost.

Mbappe said he felt down after missing those chances but his change of mindset has seen him score four goals in his last three games.

“I believe it’s a mental issue and that’s where I realised I had to work harder,” Mbappe said.

“I think too much about how to do things, no matter where I go, in Vinicius Junior’s space, in Rodrygo’s space. When you think too much, you don’t focus on your game.”

“I’m fine physically and with the team, but I know I have to do more. That’s when the situation changed.”

“I can’t do any worse than this, so when you hit rock bottom, you can only climb back up.”

Since the loss to Bilbao on December 4, Mbappe has scored eight goals in 10 appearances in all competitions.
